HOSPICE CARE
In any community, the care given to the terminally ill is in-
dicative of the city’s holistic approach to healthcare. End-of-
life support programs show the care and compassion that
goes into helping not only the dying patient, but also the
members of his or her family.
Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions is a non-proft or-
ganization, and the only Hospice in Central Wyoming with a
dedicated inpatient facility. In addition, CWHP offers outpa-
tient care in the comfort of patient homes. The two Hospice
Homes are designed to feel more like a traditional home
than a nursing facility, with private rooms as well as open
common areas, like living space, kitchen, and dining room.
Patients and their families are invited to decorate the rooms
to their liking, to help create a more comforting environ-
ment for the patient.
Professional staff are on site 24 hours a day, and they’re aid-
ed by an amazing corps of trained volunteers. Apart from
patient care and support the Central Wyoming Hospice &
Transitions provides programs on handling bereavement
issues, spiritual care, family support and referrals to com-
munity resources.
Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions is truly an invalu-
able facility for the community. Everyone can be affected by
the passing of a loved one; CWHP is there for anyone who
needs its help and support at a diffcult and stressful time,
regardless of their ability to pay.
