HIGHER EDUCATION IN CASPER
Beyond elementary, secondary, and high school education,
Casper College and the Natrona County Board of Coopera-
tive Educational Services (BOCES) have partnered to create
a program called Accelerated College Education (ACE).
ACE allows students to enroll at Casper College while still in
high school, permitting them to earn high school and college
credits at the same time. BOCES covers the cost of tuition
and books for up to nine credit hours per semester. Natrona
County High School also is one of the few high schools in the
state to offer the International Baccalaureate program.
The Hathaway Scholarship is a unique opportunity for Wy-
oming high school graduates to further their educations.
Created by the Wyoming State Legislature in 2006, these
scholarships are designed to let Wyoming high school
graduates continue their postsecondary education within
the state of Wyoming—either at the University of Wyoming
or any of Wyoming’s seven community colleges.
The program offers four merit scholarship levels, with eli-
gibility requirements based on academics and need-based
scholarships.

to universities all over the world, but CC also has agreements
with 15 universities that allows a student to complete a four-
year degree while staying in Casper so they can earn their
associates, bachelors, masters, and even doctoral degrees.
Casper College serves over 5,000 students annually. The
college has been instrumental in working closely with local
businesses to provide on-site training and business part-
nership programs. Leadership and management skills are
taught through the Development Dimensions International
