The Rocky Mountain Oilfield Testing Center (RMOTC) was established by the U.S. Department of Energy as a testing alternative for the petroleum industry. RMOTC resides within the Naval Petroleum Reserve No. 3 (NPR-3), the Teapot Dome Oil Field, near Casper, Wyoming, which produces from 600 wells in nine geological formations. RMOTC now offers a wide range of services to industry, government and academia.
